The conference will be held the 22nd and 23rd of April, 2009 and includes four sections: 
Rights to harvest natural marine resources 
The importance of traditional knowledge for access and utilization of live marine resources 
Ecosystem approach in the management of marine resources. 
Traditional ecological knowledge and ecosystem research 
The conference will be simultaneously interpreted between Norwegian and English. Presentations and debate on the last day will be conducted in English only.
