UArctic's Thematic Network on Permafrost arranged an international bachelor summer field school in Svalbard, in June 2015. The field school aimed to provide the students with an overview of the many different research topics related to permafrost, ranging from geoscience, engineering and bioscience to social science.
Nahaar Dybdyr, a former north2north and Circumpolar Studies student, has worked as the only surgeon and reanimatologist in three Far North districts of Russia. Now he has also published a photo essay on his home, the Even-Bitantay district of the Sakha Republic.
