Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) is now accepting applications for their Asian Polar Science Fellowship Program.  The Asian Polar Science Fellowship Program consists of two categories: the Institute Visiting Program and the Field Research Program.  The deadline to apply is February 28, 2019.

The third and final intern from Labrador Institute’s International Indigenous Intern program has joined the UArctic International Secretariat.  Michelle Saunders has started her internship at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland which will continue for the next 2 months.

The Arctic Circle will hold a Forum May 10-11 in Shanghai under the title "China and the Arctic," hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. Deadline for the proposals is March 1. 

The International PhD School will take place at the Centre for Northern Studies research station in Whapmagoostui-Kuujjuarapik on July 2-12 2019. Applications are accepted until February 15, 2019.

The international conference will take place from June 27-29, 2019 in Yakutsk, Russia. The program includes a symposium, exhibitions and presentations of new publications and projects, and covers topics related to learning, development and preservation of indigenous languages and cultures. The call for contributions closes on January 8, 2019. The Arctic Arts Summit 2019 – The Arctic as a Laboratory for Sustainable Art and Cultural Policy will be organized in Rovaniemi, Finland on June 3-5, 2019.
