Roundtable "The Role of Universities in the North and the Arctic in the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals" of the 2nd Northern Sustainable Development Forum will be held on September 30, 2020, at 5 PM, Yakutsk time UTC+9. Amid the remaining risks of COVID-19, the Roundtable will be held online.

The main topic of the Northern Sustainable Development Forum, which will be held online from September 27-30, 2020 is “Transport infrastructure in the North and the Arctic”.

The five-day intensive virtual seminar is co-taught by Indigenous leaders and science and policy experts from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. The seminar will take place January 18-22, 2021 from 10:30am to 2:00pm ET.

The Center for One Health Research (COHR) of the University of Alaska Fairbanks has been working hard to make learning about One Health accessible to interested people worldwide. The course is offered online for free and it will start on October 5, 2020. The One Health course is open for enrollment now.

Nord University and UiT Arctic University of Norway, with participation from Northern Arctic Federal University NARFU, collaborated in making a pilot exercise for students in February 2020.

Associate Professor Natalia Andreassen and Professor Odd Jarl Borch edit two new books this year within emergency preparedness and crisis management. Both books are a result of the MARPART and MAREC projects coordinated by the High North Center at the Nord University Business School.
