The Korea Arctic Academy will take place from July 7–12, 2025 in Korea (GMT+9), hosted by the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) in collaboration with UArctic. This 6-day study program brings together students from Arctic countries and Korean universities to explore key topics such as:

Arctic Policy

Sustainable Arctic Development

Arctic Science and Governance
-
Societal Dimensions of the Arctic

Field excursions and cultural experiences
The program is designed for undergraduate students at an introductory level and will be conducted in English. All selected participants will receive a KAA Welcome Kit and a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.
The Korea Maritime Institute will fully support selected participants by covering:

Round-trip airfare between Korea (Busan) and the nearest international airport to the student

Accommodation in Korea for the full duration of the program (6–12 July, 7 nights)

All meals during the official program
Who can Apply:
To be eligible, you should:

Be enrolled in an academic degree program at a UArctic member institution in an Arctic State

Identify as Indigenous and be from an Arctic country
-
Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies
-
Be genuinely motivated to engage with and deepen your understanding of the Arctic and Korea
* Indigenous students will be prioritized in the selection process
* Preference may be given to students in related fields of study
