Are you interested in shaping global climate change reports? The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is looking for new authors and contributors to join their Seventh Assessment cycle. The event organizers would like to invite representatives of Indigenous Peoples' Organizations and groups, Indigenous Knowledge experts, Indigenous science and technology experts, Indigenous climate scholars, and Indigenous data sovereignty experts to attend our information sessions! Your voices and knowledges are needed to help guide climate change work and disrupt colonial narratives.
In the virtual session, you will learn about:
- The role of the IPCC
- The importance of Indigenous-led voices in this global report
- Opportunities to advance Indigenous inclusion in the Seventh Assessment cycle
- How Indigenous experts can shape the report
- The application process for getting involved in IPCC Assessments
