The exhibition highlights the value of the arts and art education for the vitality of Arctic communities. It featured roll-ups, videos (accessible via QR codes), and books.

Hanna Heinonen, from the University of Lapland, together with Antti Heinonen presented the exhibition and produced the video presentations as part of their participation in Design Week.

The theme of the International Design Week was unCOMMON underground: finding and negotiating “common ground” while venturing into the undergrounds of social movements, hidden narratives, and emerging ethics. The event explored how design engages with the uncharted and the uncommon, offering an arena for resistance and peace-building.

The Design Week was held from May 9 to 16, 2025, and was organized by the Institute of Design & Communication, FH JOANNEUM, in Graz, Austria.
