At the 2025 UArctic Assembly in Inari, Sápmi, Finland, members voted to approve a slate of Board appointments, bringing together a wide range of expertise and perspectives from across the Circumpolar North and beyond. The newly elected and continuing Board members will help guide UArctic’s mission of advancing knowledge, education, and collaboration in and for the Arctic.
The Assembly elected Frederik Paulsen as Chair of the Board of UArctic for his second three-year term (2025–2028). Joining the Board for new or renewed terms (2025–2028) are:

Bárður Clementsen of Roskilde University was elected as the Board Student Representative for 2025–2028.
These leaders bring valuable experience and insight to the Board’s work of supporting UArctic’s strategic development and ensuring its continued responsiveness to the needs of northern communities.
