We are delighted to welcome a new cohort of UArctic Thematic Networks, approved during the UArctic Assembly 2025 in Inari, Sápmi, Finland. These networks reflect the creativity, collaboration, and cross-border commitment that define UArctic's mission. Each one brings a unique contribution to Arctic knowledge-building and strengthens our shared capacity to respond to the region's most pressing challenges.
Newly approved as provisional Thematic Networks are:

Thematic Network on Terrestrial Biodiversity Monitoring, hosted by University of Oulu, Finland

Thematic Youth Network, hosted by Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada
We look forward to supporting these networks as they begin their activities and build vibrant communities of practice within their respective fields.

These endorsements mark an important milestone and affirm the networks’ sustained contributions to Arctic education and research.
