Among the distinguished faculty was UArctic Chair Kamrul Hossain, who delivered a lecture on integrating human security and human rights concerns into climate crisis scenario planning. His contribution shaped scenario-building exercises, helping participants incorporate social, legal, and humanitarian perspectives alongside technical risk assessments. The Summer School, organised by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and UiT The Arctic University of Norway in partnership with University of Lapland and Lund University, brought together PhD candidates from across the Nordic region. Through lectures, hands-on training, and cross-border collaboration, the programme aimed to equip the next generation of experts to strengthen Arctic societies’ resilience against climate-related threats.
