The Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) Working Group of the Arctic Council is seeking a candidate for the position of Executive Secretary for the CAFF International Secretariat located in Akureyri, Iceland.

Professor Timo Jokela, UArctic Chair in Arctic Art, Design and Culture, was awarded the J.V. Snellman Medal for his extensive life's work for the North.

The melting of the Greenland ice sheet has the potential to increase global sea levels by tens of centimeters during this century. The exact amount depends on the surface melting which increases with global warming, and on the calving of icebergs where huge glaciers drain the interior icesheet.
