The UArctic Academic Advisory Board – the Award Evaluation Committee – has selected four candidates to be considered for the 2023 Frederik Paulsen Arctic Academic Action Award, all with great potential. The winner will be announced in October at the Arctic Circle Assembly.
The theme was Pathways of Hope – Knowledge, Actions, Solutions. SSD is organized by University of Helsinki’s Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS) and Aalto University.

Approximately 120 participants from UArctic's member institutions attended the UArctic Assembly 2023 hosted by Université Laval in Québec City from 22-26 May 2023. The participants came from 15 different countries both in the Circumpolar North and from outside of the region.
The UArctic Chairs met in Quebec for their annual meeting on 23 May 2023, in conjunction with the UArctic Assembly hosted by Université Laval.
On the 22nd of May 2023 Nordic Council of Ministers published a report on Recognition of vocational education and training in the Nordic countries.
